tyler

tyler

You ever read the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? Jekyll is a mild mannered guy who turns into a fiend called Hyde from time to time. Tyler is kind of like that guy. He's laid back, but driven--driven enough to be the starting quarterback...and strong safety. When you give him a football, you can see the intensity radiate from the pigskin to his whole body, and the nice young man becomes the competitor in front of your eyes. When he smiles, you can't help but feel happy. But don't let that mild mannered side fool you--when the Friday night lights turn on, you're not going to want to be on the other side of the ball.

As you know by now, we love photographing athletes in their element. Devon is a fired-up track star and triathlete...and quite lovely to boot. The lovely is obvious, but how did we know she's fired-up? At our pre-shoot coffee meeting, she could hardly contain her energy--she looked like she might jump up and sprint across the cafe at any minute! Luckily, we have specially made equipment to capture things that move. really. fast.

We photographed Lillian once before.  She's an undercover professional model posing as a recent high school graduate.  She's also a dancer, and we've thought for a while that urban + dancer would equal magic.  And if we may say so ourselves...we were right.

Our first engagement session of the new year was beautiful! Lovely couple...lovely locations...beautiful Colorado day (you'd never know that these pictures were taken in February, would you, all you lowlanders?!). And what's more, Brittany and Adam were so into each other, I'm not sure they knew we were there. But we were...taking it all in. And it was beautiful.

Shooting our last senior of the season is always bittersweet. We love meeting these wonderful young people and learning their stories and capturing them at such an incredible point in their lives. And, wow...Karen sent us out in style! This beautiful young lady was such a pleasure to photograph and get to know that we just hated for it all to end.
